I understand and sympathize with the need to reduce spam and other auto-abuse, but the capcha captcha option on LJ is really freakin' annoying.

Eh? Wot? Captcha? Where? I don't see a capcha. Are you sure that's not just a very odd user icon?

It was there, now it's gone. Or hiding. Or something. I know it wasn't a fever-dream, but that's as much as I'm willing to commit to right now.

Oddly enough it only appears to be your LJ. And then it gets really weird - if I try to post something in your journal it appears to lose the session info and consider me anonymous, not showing my id as an option. I hit post, it then tells me you disallow anonymous postings, then shows my lj name as an option. I select that, hit post, then it hit me with the captcha.

not that i knew the capcha thing was happening and it made you anonymous... must just be bad scripting
