I understand and sympathize with the need to reduce spam and other auto-abuse, but the ~~capcha~~ captcha option on LJ is really freakin' annoying.

Eh? Wot? Captcha? Where? I don't see a capcha. Are you sure that's not just a very odd user icon?

It was there, now it's gone. Or hiding. Or something. I know it wasn't a fever-dream, but that's as much as I'm willing to commit to right now.
